Etymologie

Verbreitung
Channa aurolineata ist in größeren Flüssen in Myanmar, einschließlich den Flusseinzugsgebieten Chindwin, Ayeyarwaddy, Sittaung und Thanlwin, weit verbreitet. Das Indo-Burmesische Gebirge scheint die westliche geographische Grenze dieser Art zu bilden, wobei Channa marulius auf die Westseite dieser Gebirgskette beschränkt ist.
