Etymologie
Benannt nach Jordans verstorbenem Kollege, dem Naturforscher Charles Harvey Bollman (1868-1889), "dessen vorzeitiger Tod bei der Erforschung der Flüsse Georgias eintrat, während diese Abhandlung durch die Presse ging" (Bollmann starb an Ruhr, die er sich beim Sammeln von Fischen in den Sümpfen von Waycross, Georgia, USA, zugezogen hatte).
