Status: Stand 26.04.2018: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Für diese Art sind keine größeren Gefahren bekannt. Dies ist ein relativ kleiner Plattfisch (12 cm SL), der in seichten Gewässern (1 bis 30 m) vorkommt. Er könnte von Tauchern mit Harpunen geschossen werden, aber es sind keine Daten verfügbar, um die Befischungsraten dieser Spezies zu quantifizieren.
