Typen
Holotypus: NMW 90742 (1 von 2).
Paratypen: MRAC 77-17-P-469; NMW 90742 (1 von 2).
Typusfundort: Bach in der Nähe von Mossango, 13 Kilometer nordwestlich von Moanda, auf dem Weg nach Lastoursville, Zentral Gabun, Höhe ca. 400 Meter ü.d.M.

Status: Stand 16.01.2018: VU Vulnerable (gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Im nördlichen Teil des Verbreitungsgebietes dieser Art, verschmutzt die Mangan Gewinnung derzeit die Flusssysteme (Eisen- und Uranabbau sind eine potenzielle Bedrohung). Brandrodungen für die Landwirtschaft verursachen ebenfalls Sedimentation. Im Kouilou-Becken ist die Art durch Entwaldung durch Holznutzung bedroht.
