Typen
Holotypus: AMNH 8346.
Typusfundort: aus Löchern in Felsen im Hauptstrom des Mazaruni, Mutusi Hole, etwa dreißig Meilen flussaufwärts von Kartabo.
Etymologie
Der Artame bezieht sich auf die Herkunft, Mazaruni (Fluss).
Verbreitung
Essequibo-Becken, Guyana.
