Etymologie
Vom Altgriechischen lepis (= Schuppe eines Fisches), mit der Vorsilbe "a", was dann schuppenlos bedeutet, und kephalos (= Kopf eines Menschen oder eines anderen Tieres). Das Suffix stammt vom lateinischen forma (= Form, Gestalt oder Aussehen).
