Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des verstorbenen Juraj Holcík (1934-2010), Bratislava, Kollege und Freund der Autoren, für seine zahlreichen Beiträge zur Ichthyologie. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Zentralasien: Hari [= Tedzhen / Hariroud] Fluss, Afghanistan, sein westlicher Nebenfluss im Iran, Südturkmenistan, Usbekistan und Westtadschikistan.
