Etymologie

Verbreitung
Nordwestpazifik: beschränkt auf das ostasiatische Schelf, nur an den Küsten von Honshu (einschließlich dem Seto-Binnenmeer), Shikoku und der Insel Kyushu, Japan (nicht Ryukyu und Ogasawara Inseln oder Japanisches Meer), Südkorea, Taiwan, China (von Shanghai bis nach Südchina) und Nordvietnam (südlich von Hué). Frühere Berichte aus anderen Gebieten des Indopazifiks sind Fehlidentifikationen von Arten innerhalb des A. latus-Artenkomplexes.
