Holotypus: GMC V 2415.1 (fast vollständiges Seitenschild).
Paratypen: GMC V 2415.2 (unvollständiges dorsales Kopfschild).
Typusfundort und -schicht: Dorf Tielikewatie, Kalpin County, Autonomes Gebiet Xinjiang Uygur, China, Tataertag Formation, Telychian, Llandovery, Silur.
Etymologie
Von serratus (= gezackt), in Bezug auf den gezähnten seitlichen Rand des Kopfschildes.
