Typen
Holotypus: SMNS 96990.
Typusfundort: Pliensbach bei Zell unter Aichelberg (48°38'30"N, 9°35'15"E (Karte)), Landkreis Göppingen, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland, aus der Opalinuston-Formation, Leioceras opalinum-Zone (Mittlerer Jura, frühes Aalenium).
Etymologie
Benannt nach Thomas Balle, der den Holotypus gesammelt und dem SMNS gespendet hat.
Verbreitung
Nur vom Holotypus bekannt.
