Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Peter Benjamin von Benjamin Film Laboratory (Toronto), der Winterbottom über Jahrzehnte kostenlos 35-mm-Filme und deren Entwicklung zur Verfügung gestellt hat und der an mehreren Sammlungsexpeditionen teilgenommen hat. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Indo-Westpazifik: Indonesien und Vietnam östlich bis zu den Marshallinseln, Tonga und Samoa, nördlich bis zu den Philippinen, südlich bis Westaustralien, Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australien) und Lord Howe Island.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 12.7.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
