Patronym nicht identifiziert, aber wahrscheinlich zu Ehren von Johannes Theodor Reinhardt (1816-1882), dänischer Zoologe, der 1859 die Trichomycteridengattung Stegophilus vorschlug. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
