Typusfundort: südlich von Jiwani, südwestlicher Teil Pakistans, 24°54′N, 61°51′E (Karte), 108–115 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Der spezifische Name serena leitet sich aus dem Lateinischen ab und bedeutet „ruhig“, in Bezug auf die ruhige Oberfläche des Arabischen Meeres, in dem die Art verbreitet ist.
Verbreitung
Derzeit nur aus dem Golf von Oman und der nordwestlichen Küste Indiens bekannt.
