Etymologie
Etymologie nicht erklärt, vielleicht von fusi- (= verschmolzen), in Bezug auf die vollständig vereinigten Beckenflossen von Fusigobius neophytus (eine andere Erklärung ist fusus (= Spindel), aber die Grundel erscheint uns nicht spindelförmig); gobius (= Grundel).
