Etymologie
Diaphanus (= transparent, deutlich, verschieden), Anspielung nicht erklärt, vielleicht aufgrund der silbrigen Farbe, mit breitem hellsilberem Seitenband und "keine hellen Flecken". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Amazonasbecken, Peru und Bolivien.
