Etymologie
Etymologie nicht erklärt, wahrscheinlich ist es die Verkleinerungsform von spectrum (= Geist), bezogen auf den durchscheinenden, fleischfarbenen Körper von Spectrunculus radcliffei (= Spectrunculus grandis). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
