Verbreitung
Mittelmeer, Schwarzes Meer, Ostatlantik: Ärmelkanal bis Südafrika einschließlich Madeira; Rotes Meer (als Einwanderer aus dem Mittelmeerraum).

Status: Stand 15.10.2018:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Gegenwärtig gibt es keine größeren Bedrohungen und keine Anzeichen für einen Rückgang der Population auf globaler oder regionaler Ebene.
