Holotypus: ZMA 123.467.
Typusfundort: Guyana, oberer Mazaruni, in der Nähe des Dorfes Kamarang, schmaler Bach rechtsseits des Kamarang River, etwa eine halbe Meile stromaufwärts der Landepiste des Supermarkts von Paul James, 05°50'20"N, 60°30'58"W.
Etymologie
Aus dem Lateinischen torrens, Wildbach, und cola, Bewohner, sich auf den Gewässertyp des Vorkommens dieser Art beziehend.
Verbreitung
Gegend um Kamarang bis Imbamadai, Guyana.
