Etymologie

Timanoa ist eine euphonische Verschmelzung der drei Kindernamen des zweiten Autors: Timothée, Maëlle und Noa.

Verbreitung

Neukaledonien, wahrscheinlich endemisch. Kommt tiefer vor als viele andere Kongenere (von 50 bis 100 m), obwohl sie an einigen Stellen manchmal in Tauchtiefen von etwa 10 bis 40 m zu finden sind.
