Etymologie
Benannt nach François Désiré Roulin (1796-1874), der als erster über Süßwasserstechrochen aus dme Orinoco berichtete.

Kolumbien: Provinz San Martin, Wasserscheide des oberen Rio Meta, Orinoco Becken.
