Etymologie
Diminutiv von Perca, vorgeschlagen als Untergattung dieser Gattung (Name oft übersetzt als "kleiner Barsch", aber Haldeman bezog sich in seiner Beschreibung nicht auf die Größe). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
