Etymologie
Das Art-Epitheton ist aus dem Lat. fallax (= betrügerisch, falsch), in Bezug auf die oberflächliche Ähnlichkeit mit Owstonia hastata.
Verbreitung
Westpazifik: Australien (Queensland) und Neukaledonien.
