Etymologie
Benannt nach der Stadt Muskat im Oman, wo sich die Typuslokalität befindet.
Verbreitung
Westlicher Indischer Ozean: KwaZulu-Natal (Südafrika), Ostafrika (Mosambik, Tansania, Kenia) und Persischer Golf bis Socotra (Jemen), Seychellen und Maskarenen (Mauritius).
