Etymologie
Etymologie ursprünglich nicht erklärt, vielleicht von Olyra, griechisch für eine Art von Getreide (vielleicht Roggen), oder Olyra Linneaus 1759, eine Gattung von neotropischen Gräsern, vielleicht auf die Ähnlichkeit von einigen Olyra Blättern zum spitzen Schwanz von Olyra longicaudata.
