Etymologie

Benannt zu Ehren des Ichthyologen Barton Warren Evermann (1853-1932) von der United States Fish Commission, der Gilberts Monographie veröffentlichte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Verbreitung

Indopazifik: In tropischen und subtropischen Gewässern bis nach Südhawaii bei den Marquesas. Ostpazifik: Küste von Peru, ungefähr vor der Isla Huaura und Chile. Südchinesisches Meer.
