Etymologie
Barbata (= bebartelt), bezieht sich auf ein paar bartelartige Strukturen auf der ventralen Oberfläche des Kopfes, ein Zustand, der damals nur von Malacoglanis gelatinosus und bei einem Exemplar von Stenoclimus sarmientoi aufgezeichnet wurde. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
