Etymologie
Maculatum (= gefleckt), bezieht sich auf zahlreiche dunkelbraune, runde Flecken auf Körper und Flossen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Sierra Leone: Waldreservat Kasewe und Bezirk North Sherbo.
