Status Das Taxon basiert auf zwei Quellen: das Exemplar von Gronovius aus Surinam ist ein Cichlide (Labrus bimaculatus Linnaeus, 1758), das Exemplar vom NHRM ist das selbe wie Polycentrus schomburgkii Müller & Troschel, 1849.
