Typusfundort: Sungei Tamang, kleiner Waldbach, der in den Sungai Pinoh gegenüber der Mündung des Sungei Kelawai fließt, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo.
Etymologie
Humilis (= auf dem Boden oder niedrig), bezogen auf dorso-ventral abgeflachten Körper. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Borneo: Becken des Kapuas River, Kalimantan Barat.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 25.09.2021: DD Data Deficient (ungenügende Datengrundlage)
Gefahren für diese Art: Derzeit sind keine größeren Bedrohungen für diese Art im gesamten Verbreitungsgebiet bekannt. Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es zahlreiche potenzielle lokale Bedrohungen für Lebensräume in West-Borneo, einschließlich der Entwaldung und Umwandlung von Land für große landwirtschaftliche Projekte, was wahrscheinlich zu einer erhöhten Bodenerosion und Sedimenten in Flüssen und Bächen führen wird. Die Sammlung für den Aquarienfischhandel gilt als unbeabsichtigt und erfolgt in einem unbedeutenden Umfang, der keine wesentliche Bedrohung für die Art darstellt.
