Holotypus: ZSI F7716/1.
Typusfundort: Siyom River, unterhalb von Damda, bei den Abor Hills, Assam, Indien, Höhe 1300 Fuss.
Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des Meeresbiologen Stanley Wells Kemp (1882-1945), Zoological Survey of India, der das Typusexemplar "beschaffte".
Verbreitung
Brahmaputra Becken, Indien und China.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 13.02.2018: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Spezifische Bedrohungen für diese Art sind nicht bekannt, jedoch sind Lebensraumbedrohungen bei allen Arten aus Bergflüssen möglich, die aus der Entwicklung von Wasserkraft und aus Verschlammung durch Entwaldung und aus landwirtschaftlichen Quellen stammen.
