Etymologie
Von bi (= zwei); rostris (= Schnabel oder Schnauze), bezieht sich auf zwei schnabelartige Vorsprünge am Rüssel. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Indien und Bhutan: weit verbreitet in den Bezirken Upper Siang, West Kameng und Papum Pare im oberen Brahmaputra-Becken in Arunachal Pradesh.
