Etymologie

Denticulated (= gezähnt), d.h. fein gezähnt oder gekerbt, mit Bezug auf den gezähnten Kiemendeckel.

Zirkumglobal in tropischen und gemäßigten Meeren (einschließlich Golf von Mexiko, Karibisches Meer, Mittelmeer; Tasmanische See).
