Typusfundort: Lagoon reef at Rujoru Island, Eniwetok [Eniwetak] Atoll, western Pacific.
Etymologie
Nanus (= Zwerg), bezogen auf die Größe, wobei die Weibchen mit 14-19 mm SL reifen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Indo-West-Pazifik: Ost-Andamanensee bi Mikronesien, Neukaledonien, Australien bis Taiwan.
