Etymologie
Vom lateinischen altus (= hoch) und pinna (= Flosse).
Verbreitung
Indischer Ozean: Tansania, Sri Lanka und der Andamanensee vor Thailand. Shibukawa (2005) berichtete diese Art aus Seegraswiesen mit sandigen Schlammböden.
