Typusfundort: Temporärer Tümpel etwa 200 Meter vom Ufer des rio Jaguarão, Laguna dos Patos-System, Bezirk Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasilien.
Etymologie
Aus dem Lateinischen uni, einfach, verschmolzen, ventri, ventral, und pinnis, Flosse, unter Bezugnahme auf die mediane Verschmelzung der Bauchflossen.
Verbreitung
Rio Jaguarão-Einzugsgebiet, Laguna Mirim-System, Süd-Brasilien.
