Synonyme

Etymologie

Taeniatus (= gebändert), bezogen auf ein helles silbernes Seitenband, „brillanter“ als das Band bei Astyanax scabripinnis (ein mutmaßlicher Kongener zu dieser Zeit). (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Verbreitung

Die Art ist weit verbreitet in Bächen der Flüsse Paraíba do Sul, São João und Macae im Bundesstaat Rio de Janeiro.
