Typusfundort: Kolumbien, Department Nariño, Gemeinde Barbacoas, Patía River Becken (Pazifikküste), Telembí River Einzug, im Telembí River an der Mündung des Yamunde River, 1 km untrhalb von Barbacoas, 01°39′56″N, 78°09′12″W (Karte), 61 m ü.d.M.
Etymologie
Das spezifische Epitheton bezieht sich auf die als Embera bekannten amerikanischen Ureinwohner, welche die Typlokalität dieses Taxons bewohnen.
Verbreitung
Mittlerer Teil des Flusses Telembí, der ein Zufluss des Flusses Patía im Departement Nariño an der pazifischen Küste Kolumbiens ist.
