Etymologie
Etymologie nicht geklärt, bezieht sich vielleicht auf Apollonia, den antiken Namen der Stadt, jetzt Sozopol, an der südlichen Schwarzmeerküste Bulgariens, die mitten im Verbreitungsgebiet von Neogobius melanostomus liegt. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
