Rotes Meer, Indo-Pazifik: Ostafrika, Südafrika, Mosambik-Kanal, Seychellen, Madagaskar und Maskarenen östlich bisn Mexiko und Panama, Nord- bis Süd-Japan, Ogasawara-Inseln und Hawaii-Inseln, südlich bis Queensland (Australien) und Neukaledonien. Östlicher Pazifik: Golf von Kalifornien bis Galapagos.
