Typusfundort: Bo-Fluss [= Boh-Fluss], Mahakam-Einzugsgebiet, Ost-Kalimantan, Indonesien.
Etymologie
Molobrion (= Ferkel von Wildschweinen), in Anspielung auf die geringe Größe und die Ähnlichkeit mit Acantopsis choirorhynchos (= Dialuzona), die wegen ihrer langen, schweineartigen Schnauze so benannt wurde. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

Status: Stand 4.07.2023:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Diese Art ist in Gebieten verbreitet, die bekanntermaßen stark durch die Verschmutzung durch Abwässer, Palmölmühlen, Pestizide, Düngemittel und Sedimentation aus der Abholzung und Plantagenlandwirtschaft belastet sind. Außerdem wird diese Art in ihrem gesamten Verbreitungsgebiet wahrscheinlich sowohl absichtlich als auch unabsichtlich in der Fischerei gefangen.
