Etymologie
Kombiniert aus acanthus (= Dorn, Stachel) und phacelus (= Bündel), bezieht sich auf ein kurzes Gonopodium, mit langen und spitzen kammartigen Stacheln auf dem dritten Strahl. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
